Godzilla vs The Wolfman by kaijukid Godzilla vs The Wolfman by kaijukid
For those of you who aren't aware (and I imagine that's very few), this is the most legendary of all Godzilla fan films. It really existed, was made with great effort and love for the genre, and we'll be honored to meet the creator of this piece and see some of it at the next G-Fest.

I saw bits and pieces of this, and thought that this kicked ass.

The whole thing they've publicly shown is really fantastic, can't wait to hear from Toho whether or not They're going to put out that official release they were considering.

I didn't see the fan film yet. Is there anyway I can download it?

No, though the director is negotiating with Toho to get a Bluray released and it sounds like the possibilities for that are good.  I have a copy recorded from last year's G-Fest, which we were told we could do, but only under the strictest agreement that the recordings would stay in our private collections and not be distributed on Youtube or elsewhere.

But when the director is negotiating with Toho to get a Bluray, will it be released in USA?

*shrug*  dunno, though I would assume so if only because the Americans have been the ones pushing the hardest to get it released and have been helping him to get the movie released.

I want to know what the Legendary Wolfman sounds like. He's in Daikaiju battle royal but you can't hear his roar!

To the best of my recollection (Haven't watched the video since Fest) he was sort of a mix of the Kong/King Seesar roar with some additional horrific grunts and howls in there, but I may be a little off.  My brain just seems to recall that there were some bits of stock Toho monster noise in there though.

Oddly enough, Kong-scale lycanthropes have some precedent thanks to (a) the 80's arcade game Rampage, which trotted out a 40-something-foot werewolf to complement the giant gorilla & lizard, and (b) the Howling series' third installment, which incorporated a shamanically-enlarged were-thylacine among heaps of Z-list-nuts concepts.

That said, this spin on one of Universal's enduring archetypes gets a nod from me for (a) beefing up Wolfy enough to render him a plausible wrestling partner for G'62, and (b) that spiffy albinism, which renders this sucker just a smidgen more exotic. I'd love to know how the human-centric portions of this plot would've played out, however; can't help but visualizing the Amazing Colossal Talbot(C) thumping about the countryside in search of, ehem, strategic coverage.

You ever thought of writing for journals or cinematic magazines? :) maybe you do for all I know. Anyway, I really love the concept as well, and what little I saw of the footage at last year's G-Fest was....thrilling, to say the least, I am chomping at a serious bit to see what they unveil for this year.

Flattering thought, though I'm not remotely consistent enough for even half-legit publication. Ditto on that itching curiosity.

Fantasic work! Even got the little fullmoon in there too :) I was surprised by how buttugly the face of that monster was when we all got to see those nice closeup photos of it in that recent article that was published.

Man yeah it was hard to find a good pic for reference, but I really, really like the design, and frankly just the idea of another mammal monster, it's such a shame this was never fully finished.
