Honoring The Little Guys #31: Yuri Tachibana

The Millennium series had a large collection of female protagonists who varied in quality and likeability, but I was pretty fond of Chiharu Niiyama as Yuri Tachibana in Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah Giant Monsters All Out Attack.  She was fun, believable, and memorable.  Miss Miiyama doesn't have the longest credits list but she has some additional notable titles including Ring: The Final Chapter tv series, voice work in Doraemon and Ju-On: The Grudge 2 among others.  Maybe it's the part of me that likes the sort of April O'Neil character in action movies, but she's probably my favorite in the Millennium series of films.  Also I enjoyed the dub on this one and her boss yelling at her over the phone, "Yuri babe, I want it straight from the lizard's mouth!"
